How We Work – Process and Time Scales for a Typical Project
Our marketing consultant will undertake an initial appraisal with the client, for an established business, this meeting usually takes place at the client’s premises. This face-to-face interview between the client and our marketing consultant usually takes a minimum of 2 hours but often can take longer depending on the size of company and the scale of the project. If required and agreed with the client other key members within the company may also be interviewed.
The marketing consultant will then require between a few days to a week to complete this review. This involves undertaking research of the market and then identifying and summarising the critical challenges that that need to be addressed. Further discussion with the client may be necessary.
Dependent on the scale and depth of the project the marketing consultant will draft a report providing an overview which will include a summary of observations, market findings and current status. The report will also include a proposed marketing strategy and marketing plan.
The marketing consultant will always provide an estimation of the costs involved to undertake the recommended marketing actions in order to help the client finalise a marketing budget, if one has not already been set.
A meeting is then arranged where the report is presented to the client and will cover the key points of the marketing review undertaken and discuss the main recommendations made. This also provides an opportunity for the client to air and resolve any questions that they may have.
If requested by the client, our marketing consultant will also manage the whole project which can involve selection, briefing and overseeing of all agencies and marketing suppliers. Time-scales for design, print and production will vary dependent on the approval process and type of the project.
Fees and Conditions
To ensure transparency, our fees and scope of the project are discussed from the outset and agreed, which we will always confirm in writing, prior to the Marketing Consultant’s first and subsequent meetings with the client.
We will quote a management fee to the client for our project management service covering suppliers. The ultimate contractual relationship lies between the client and the supplier (s) for work undertaken.
All work undertaken by 3rd party suppliers will be invoiced directly to the client.
